can the world please stop for a moment
so i can sit down and think
and decide what it is i really want
we can go right back to spinning

when all i've got is questions

the demand for the answer is part of the answer?
or is that a copout?

inadequecy, perfection and love

we seek increasing perfection in ourselves and in our lovers
and then ask why we didn't get simplicity.
sometimes we ask why we are tired
but very seldom do we ask what it is that drives us toward perfection

is the solution unconditional self-love?

and yet... how is it that people choose to grow in one aspect and not another. few people are (attempt to be) physically, mentally and soulfully beautiful

thus spoke the perfectionist.

unconditional self-love. trouble with that is that it can easily sway to become complacence.

but we are always growing.
so, what if self-love also understands this dynamic. to stand still would actually be contrary to our nature, it would mean we hadn't really accepted ourselves but as you say become complacent.

(it's all wishful thinking of course, but also part of becoming better in some ways)

Persian poetry

i asked a friend about persian poetry a few months ago,
now i've started reading
i think i like forugh farrokhzad
though rumi remains a clear international favorite

pace

some say pace is one of the predictors of whether a marriage will last
some people eat slow, walk slow, do slow, while others are fast

in friendships at least, an understanding that people work differently seems to go a long way
