Thought of the week (in progress?)

In conversation in relation to dogmas a fellow traveller told me:
An idea is not strong enough if you cannot define a way to falsify it.
(null hypothesis anyone?)

Or perhaps, somewhat simplified... if you cannot find an exception, or moreso a hypothetical set of circumstances in which an exception can occur.

Therefore, perhaps there is a reason behind occaisonal (supposed) breaks against the unity claimed in a naturalistic and/or pantheistic view. Generically: we are one, because we can imagine/sense that/when we are not (and then disprove the sense of displacement?). Then again, it's back to square one with subjective perception and life choices, aye? Still, each one to their own "flow".
