No, I really don't. Let me be clear about that. I think at worst it's a hostile political act, a way for small-minded men to keep women in the house and out of the way, wrapped up in the guise of tradition and conservative religious nonsense. At best, it's a happy delusion - these two people who truly love each other and have no idea how truly miserable they're about to make each other. But, but, when two people know that, and they decide with eyes wide open to face each other and get married anyway, then I don't think it's conservative or delusional. I think it's radical and courageous and very romantic. To Diego and Frida.
marriage is a scam. a joke. an outdated phenomena that no longer serves it's original purpose. it's something that any sane person should avoid (foreign nationalities is attainable in other ways!). don't even try to convince me that it's something good. it's not!
Ha, I love the idea of GETTING married can't get enough of that.
Why certainly, to quote the same movie:
"I had two big accidents in my life Diego, the trolley and You... You are by far the worst "
Marianna I hope you're being cynical - I too enjoy masquerades, parties, good food, having a lot of friends around but the paperwork and expectations that come with marriage not to mention the sensitive subject of leaving it.... na thanks!
